Zayante Fire Department

Zayante volunteer fire department is the newest of the San Lorenzo valley fire departments, having been formed in 1942. Henry 'Hank' Decker is fire chief. This is the firehouse on the banks of Zayante creek. The department serves Zayante valley, Olympia, Quail Hollow, and Lompico. The bridge was put in by the country and finished May 31 at a cost of $9549. It is one of four new ones in the Zayante area.

NOTE: This ia at the corner of Zayante and Quail Hollow. The building is now in use by the San Lorenzo Valley Water District.
